Meet our Executive Director, Kin Wai Lau, a serial tech investor with an incredible resume in this edition of 'The Man'!
Serial entrepreneur and prominent tech investor Kin Wai have ventured into many businesses across Asia and Europe. He founded his first company at the young age of 23 and made his fortune through strategic investments in internet media, software, and biotechnology companies.
Kin Wai earned his Engineering degree with honors from the University of Manchester under a full scholarship before completing his MBA from the University of Oxford. He would then drop out of his Ph.D. program, as a Ph.D. candidate at Imperial College London to pursue a life in business.
At the age of 28, Kin Wai pulled off an incredible IPO as the founder and managing director of a telecom software firm, making him one of the youngest head honcho of a publicly-traded company in Southeast Asia. He quickly established a reputation for accelerating technology companies to the IPO stage, bringing 7 tech companies public, to date.
Kin Wai is now the co-founder and managing director of Fatfish Group, a regional tech venture with offices in Southeast Asia and Australia. Fatfish Group is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), with a recent expansion into the Nordic region.
